Overview
Getting out of HCMC on QL1A was the busiest and most polluted road we cycled on in South East Asia, but even if you can't find an alternative, it's worth it for the gorgeous ride through lush Mekong countryside dotted with tiny villages. If you have a good map of the delta, it's worth spending more time exploring this area. The sun is fiercely hot in February and Têt can be an absolute nightmare, so start early and book ahead. There are many more com chay restaurants than anywhere else we visited in Vietnam, so vegetarians will not be disappointed.HCMC to My Tho
