Spicy chestnuts

Chestnuts
2tsp baking soda
Grape seed oil
Curry powder to taste

Place the chestnuts in a saucepan, cover with water and add the baking soda. Boil the chestnuts for twenty minutes, drain and remove the shells. Heat the oil and curry powder in a pan and sauté the chestnuts until coated and lightly browned. Serve hot or cold, as a snack or starter to a meal.
