Some handy baking hints to help you fiddle recipes when you haven't got quite the right ingredients!
- Buttermilk = Half milk + half yoghurt
- Baking powder = 2 parts bicarbonate of soda + 1 part cream of tartar
- 115g self-raising flour = 115g plain flour + 1 level tsp baking powder
- Ricotta cheese = Cottage cheese (whizz in a blender to get rid of the lumps)
